Gordon Liddy was involved in Watergate and served time in prison for burglary, conspiracy and illegal wiretapping. In an audio interview, John McCain said that he is “proud” of him. John McCain also says in that same interview that G. Gordon Liddy’s philosophies “keep our nation great.”
