Barack Obama announced in a joint statement with his sister that his grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, died of cancer today. I’m sure she held on as long as she could in an effort to see if her grandson would become President of the U.S. Where ever she is, she is one proud grandparent regardless of what happens!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Senator Obama and his family at this difficult time.
As we all know, Barack Obama has been getting some really bad attacks launched at him. In this video from ABC World News, Charlie Gibson of the ‘Bush Doctrine’ fame interviews Obama on a few issues. Of course the Bill Ayers thing comes up again and Obama answers it perfectly saying, “I am surprised that we have been seeing some pretty over the top attacks from the McCain campaign over the last couple days and that he couldn’t say it to my face”. It’s because McCain knows it is a lie and that it is a sleaze move, that’s why he hasn’t said it to Obama’s face.
Simply amazing how much hate is in the Republican party.
